They’re not just bloggers. They are my friends.
I love blogging. I love being able to share my ideas with others and enjoy moments of narcissism (because let’s face it, bloggers like to talk about themselves).
There’s one upside to blogging that I didn’t even realize when I first started. There are lots of great reasons to blog, but the one very nice surprise are all the friends I’ve made along the way.
I have met some of the most amazing ladies since I started blogging. And even though I haven’t met many of them in real life, I’ve formed genuine friendships with each of them.
One friend that I’ve made is Nikki from Kreative Knack.
In addition to being a great crafter and having a really fun blog, Nikki is a genuinely nice person. She is a true friend – and those are hard to come by.
Last week I received the most amazing surprise in the mail from Nikki.
Are you kidding me?! A plate that actually matches my blog?!!
She says she saw the plate with the orange circles already on it and thought of me and just had to get it for me.
And if that wasn’t enough, she hand-painted MY logo on the plate. For real.
If that doesn’t scream “TRUE FRIEND” I don’t know what would. I’m truly taken aback that there are such amazing, sweet, caring, nice people in this world. We’ve never met in person (we must change that!) yet she considers me a friend enough to do something so thoughtful and kind for me.
I am truly blessed.
For now I’ve hung it near my kitchen (don’t look too closely or you’ll see my mess!). As you already know because I wont shut up about it we are moving in about 6 weeks and I just cannot wait to find a permanent home for my new plate.
I will probably put it in my office/craft room near my computer. Every time I look at it it reminds me of my blog and the friendships that have come from putting myself out there and starting a blog.
Nikki, THANK YOU so much for your kindness and friendship. I am so grateful to know you.
