GIVEAWAY: Purdy Paintbrush giveaway & review

A few weeks ago I was contacted by the Purdy marketing team and asked if I’d like a free Purdy paint kit which includes a 2 ½ inch XL glide angle brush and a premium 6 in 1 painter’s tool.

I said YES but only under one condition…

I want to give a 2nd one away to one of my readers.

They agreed, so lucky for you and me, we BOTH get a free paint kit!

I decided to use the paint kit on a mirror frame that I wanted white. It was originally black, so I knew this would be a tough challenge for my Purdy brush to see how well it could coat in as few coats as possible.

I used the brush to do two coats of primer, and then only ONE coat of high gloss paint.

I usually only buy the cheapest brushes the hardware store has, but honestly, after using this brush, I’m sold.

It really was a much nicer brush. It gave a more even coat, and I had to actually paint less coats than normal.

Also, the painters tool is pretty cool as well. It opened my can of paint for me, scraped the paint off my stir stick, it can scrape wet paint off of rollers, and I used the back end of it to hammer the lid back onto the paint can when I was finished. I’m definitely going to keep this tool by my side next time I do a paint project.

All in all, I really like this brush and it has made me think twice about buying cheap crappy brushes from here on out. I’m going to invest in some good quality Purdy brushes. They really did make my project go much smoother (no pun intended!).
