More fun with Silhouette
Happy Cyber Monday!
While we are {impatiently} waiting for the Silhouette giveaway to end tonight to see who our lucky winner is, I had a little more fun with my Silhouette SD machine.
Just a quick reminder, if you are one of the 3,500+ people that doesn’t end up winning
, you can still purchase a Silhouette SD until midnight tomorrow night (Tuesday, November 30th) for only $199 (the lowest price of the season! – Must use coupon code HoH4ever). This is a cyber Monday deal that is too good to pass up.
Email this link to your husband, boyfriend, parents, siblings, anyone and hint demand that you have this for Christmas! Is your husband like mine? I have to literally say to him, “I want this item for Christmas.” If I’m anything short of blunt he’ll get me the most random gifts in the world. One year for my birthday he got me a badminton set. Um, o-kaaaay. If you know me at all you know how absolutely random of a gift that would be for me. Jewelry?! Flowers?! Gift card to the mall?! Silhouette?! All great gifts for someone you don’t know what to buy for. But badminton?! Riiiight.
So anyway, back to my fun I’ve had with Silhouette this weekend…
I made a shirt for my daughter!
Silhouette sent me the coolest flocked Heat Transfer material. Oh how fuzzy and soft this flocked heat transfer material is. I just love it and may have rubbed it all over my cheeks just to feel the softness of it.
So I went to the online store that you access through the software downloaded on your computer and I found the cutest image for 99 cents (why isn’t there a cent sign on the keyboard?). Anyway, it says “Daddy’s Girl” and it’s all scripty and adorable, so I knew my daughter would love it.
I ran it through the Silhouette machine and then I peeled away all the excess so that I only had my image.
And then I pulled a shirt from my daughter’s closet and ironed “Daddy’s Girl” right on the front.
When it was ready to peel off, I just slowly peeled the backing off to reveal the set image.
So easy!
And just check out the fuzzy flocked goodness right there. So soft and sweet.
Now she’s got the cutest shirt (that she insisted on wearing with purple leggings!).
She and I also made some snowflakes on cardstock just for fun. We made the big one she’s modeling with her cute shirt, and we also made some teeny tiny little ones.
And then we took our new snowflakes and had a little camera fun with them.
If you haven’t had a chance to enter the fun giveaway for a FREE Silhouette SD Machine, you’d better hurry! The giveaway closes at 10pm CST TONIGHT.
And of course if you want to purchase a Silhouette SD machine, you’ve got until midnight Tuesday to order one for the low price of $199 which also includes a bundle of free goodies. Just use the coupon code HoH4ever when you check out.
Also, I want to let you know that one of my sponsors, Art by Donna Geissler is having a huge Cyber Monday sale – 50% off all 8×8 and 8×10 prints! I {heart} her artwork. It is so beautiful.

I loooove that shirt! I would love to make one of those for my little one. She is such a daddy’s girl! Too cute! Still got my fingers crossed for the Silhouette!
C-U-T-E!!
(cent sign on a PC, 3 keys invovled.
hold the ctrl continue to hold while you click the / (slash key) and then the letter C. ctrl+/+c
you get ¢.
Those iron on transfers remind me of when I was young. Our family could not afford label clothes, but we lived near a town that had alot of clothing factories. At these clothing factories they sold iron on transfers that were “labels” we created our own “Nike” tshirts. It caught on (hardly anyone in our tiny rural town could afford the “flash clothes”) so we all were wearing faux label clothing. If only we had a Silhouette machine back then. With our attitudes we could have created our own clothing label line!
Very cute shirt and daughter by the way.
just double checking that the discount and your code work until tuesday?! on everyone else’s site they are only good until midnight! i really want to buy a machine if i don’t win and i want to make sure that i still will have the chance!
can you pretty please let me know!
thanks so much!
ps – LOVING that little shirt you made! so cute and yet another reason i NEED that machine!
I tried leaving a comment on the giveaway page saying I “liked” Silhouette on Facebook (which would be one entry), but it wouldn’t let me.
Adorable! I treated myself to a Silhouette and it arrived a few days ago. I’ll have to get some of this and try it out!
Hmmm, the ctrl, /, c trick didn’t work for me to make the ¢ sign, but I use alt + 0162. You gotta hold alt down while you press the numbers, AND it only works on the 10 key pad, not the numbers on the top of the keyboard.
