Jewelry orginization
I have seen so many cool ways to organize jewelry. Today I’m going to show you how I organize my jewelry.
I really have no room to talk about organizing jewelry. My jewelry collection is abysmal at best.
But I really do have a good system for organizing all your beads and bangles!
I stole this idea straight from my sister’s bathroom. {Thanks Lindsey!}
I bought one of these organizers:
It’s a Wall Mount Kitchen Towel Bar.
I think I got it at Wal-Mart.
You can hang all your earrings on the towel bar section and your bracelets and necklaces on the little hooks.
For all my stuff that doesn’t work with the Towel Bar I just keep it in a jewelry box next to where my Towel Bar is mounted.
Isn’t this such a great idea? I don’t know how Lindsey even came up with this, but the second I used her bathroom and saw it hanging there I knew I had to have one for myself.
Try to not scrutinize my jewelry collection too much. It’s pathetic, I know. And most of it I haven’t worn one time since high school.
Yes, I just said high school. I graduated almost 13 years ago and I still have jewelry I wore in high school. And I never even wear it. Sheesh.
So anyway, if you are totally unorganized or looking for a new system for your jewelry, this is a great option.
How do you organize your jewelry?

I use a really similar wall mounted rack for my necklaces. I think its a belt rack? I got it at target in the closet organization section. Then I have a jewelry box for earrings and other stuff that can’t hang. I like free standing necklace racks, but I have many longer necklaces that just pool at the bottom and get messy, so the wall mounted rack is better.
You can kind of see my system in this picture from my blog: http://hphotos-snc3.fbcdn.net/hs593.snc3/31243_591875908800_2903556_33954150_2326037_n.jpg from this post: http://aburlock.blogspot.com/2010/05/apartment-tour-bedroom.html

That’s awesome! Great job! Merry Christmas!
Guess what just arrived? My silhouette machine!! I am not letting myself open it until tomorrow when I finish sewing my Christmas gifts though. It’s my incentive to just finish already! Can’t wait to play with it this week though!!
I have to comment – and I never! comment on the blogs I follow, but, I have a great earring organizer – the jewelry I wear most.
Take a hanger, cover with an old sheer curtain, cut to size – the width of the hanger. Slip the hooks or posts of the earrings through the curtain and hang in your closet.
I have given you a blog award because I really love the work you do. Stop by my blog and copy the Stylish Blogger Award and paste it on your blog.

I also use something similar. One day my sister and I were at Ikea and I saw a silver wall mounted bar that had hanging hooks on them for your kitchen utensils. My first thought was how great it would be to hang jewelry on. My sister and I both bought one plus a couple of bags of hooks! I love it because you can add as many hooks as will fit and you don’t have to double anything up. If you have a lot of jewelry you could always hang more than one bar. I also love that nothing gets tangled and everything is visible and easily accessible!!
Oh dang, I was SO excited to see what fantastic idea you came up with for jewelry but none of the pictures are available!
( I just found your website from pinterest and seriously can’t get enough!!! You have some great tips and it’s just my style! =)
