Aviary fabric by Thomas Paul

Several months ago I obsessed over some fabric I found in a model home (and you guys obsessed with me!).

I’ve found several GREAT DEALS for this fabric and furniture with this fabric. Read on for the links!

After some gentle prodding by several of you guys, I hunted down the maker and name of the fabric:

Made By: Duralee Fabrics

Other names: Aviary, Songbird, and Canary
Pattern/Color: 20874-340

Here are several deals that you guys have sent to me:

Get it in Tangerine (my favorite!) for $17.95 a yard at Fashion Fabric Club.

Calico Corners has it for $19.99 a yard. It comes in:

And here are some AWESOME furniture pieces from Target.com, all made from the Thomas Paul Canary line!!!

*I’m linking directly to Target.com so I can’t guarantee these links will permanently work as Target’s inventory changes.

I’m pretty sure I’ve died and gone to heaven here.

I LOVE this fabric. I’m addicted it it.

But remember, my dear decorating friends, this fabric is BOLD, so less is more. If you do curtains, don’t buy the armless chars and an ottoman to match. If you buy the storage bench, don’t get the matching headboard and some curtains and make throw pillows.

As tempting as it is to buy up this entire line from Target, just don’t. Pick one thing you love, and buy that. And then admire the rest of it from the comfort of your computer screen.

I really want curtains. So I’m going to try to resist the urge to buy matching furniture. BUT, can I put the curtains in say, the dining room, and the armless chair in the family room?

Have fun shopping!

  1. OOOOH, I love that. Sadly it will clash with the new bedding I recently ordered from PB. Dagnabit.

  2. I want one of those ottomans! I love the fabric thanks for sharing!

  3. You asked: “BUT, can I put the curtains in say, the dining room, and the armless chair in the family room?”

I answer: Yes, my dear, you most certainly can. And in fact, I think you SHOULD!

Please post pictures when you do.

I, too, LURVE this fabric, and in particular I lurve it in the blue/robin/aqua shade. Major. Swoonage. I’m pretty sure I will actually die if I don’t get that slipper chair. I really really really want that nailhead ottoman in the aqua shade, but they don’t make it in that color, which AFAIC is criminal! It’d be just like me to buy the ottoman, just to recover it in the aqua …

  4. You just made my day. I love that fabric. I have a yard of it in the blue just waiting to do something with. I have to go on Target.com to check these out. I am your latest follower. I would love for you to come and check out my blog and follow me back at http://www.diybydesign.blogspot.com. Thanks so much.

  5. Ooooooh, I LOVE the curtains, and the armless chairs, and the ottoman. But don’t worry, I will take your advice and not buy all of them and put them in the same room 🙂 Can’t wait to see your new curtains! And I could totally see those armless chairs in your piano room! (And that way you can buy curtains and chairs since they won’t be in the same room 😉

  6. Great fabric. Love the curtains.

  7. wow.. I love this fabric..Sr. wouldn;t like it though.

  8. Love the fabric and those ottomans and storage benches are TDF!! I can see why you are obsessed with this!!! Fabulous!!
    Enjoy your shopping spree!! Ha!

  9. Great fabric! I’ve always wanted something “birdy”…funny because I don’t really like real birds, but I love birdy things. I’m thinking of redoing a chair soon, maybe I’ll find a bird pattern for it..we’ll see!
