Hi House Of Hepworths Readers! I’m Janet, and I’m the proprietor of I HEART My Glue Gun!
When I saw that Allison needed some guest bloggers while she was on vacation, I squealed. Yes, squealed. While the children were watching Ni Hao, Kai-Lan. No worries, they were unphased!
I’m a stay at home mommy to FOUR kiddos! We reside in the Mojave Desert of Southern California…..yes, not the cool part Allison was in. Although it’s a relatively short drive to Hollywood, L.A., etc. We bought our first home in December 2010 and I thoroughly enjoy finding frugal, creative ways to decorate my home! I get such a thrill when I find something that looks like trash at the thrift store, but with a little help can have a longer, HAPPIER life if it came home with ME!
Here are some of my favorite things we’ve done so far!
This is our laundry room pedestal my Husband built! When I bought these puppies, I didn’t have the extra FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS it was going to cost to buy the pedestals. So we spent $70 in lumber and built a super sturdy pedestal with room for hampers underneath!
Here’s a burlap frame I did, I think it looks so soft and elegant. And I’m loving how my little “nook” is coming along!
This is my totally awesome, totally cheap, totally CUTE ravamped dining room table. It was such a sight for sore eyes before, but now I’m just so pleased with it!
