Hookin Up with HoH #77
If you want an extra entry in the Dremel giveaway, don’t forget to join their twitter chat Thursday night from 6:30-7:30pm CST (details in the giveaway post).
So, are you new here? I throw the Hookin’ Up with HoH Party every week to give all of you a chance to find other awesome blogs to read. Below you will find several hundred mini links to other people’s blog posts. Have fun browsing through the links in search of new ideas. Also, if you are a blogger, please feel free to add your own links to the list!
Awesome new feature: Any projects I feature each week I will pin on Pinterest for everyone to see! Follow me on Pinterest to get in on the pinning action.
* Please refrain from posting links to shops and stores.
RECIPES/FOOD now has a separate link. Please make sure to link your recipes on the new link at the bottom.

Here are my favorites from last week’s party:
Totally diggin’ this awesome office reveal over at Not Just a Housewife.

The Roseland Family shares an easy tutorial to make these adorable little hair bows.

The Space Between uses shells to make place setting & picture holders.

Make fun hot cocoa gifts with While He Was Napping.

Suburbs Mama redid her kitchen and it is pur-dy!

I totally want this upcycled library card cabinet turned side table from A Painted Hive.

Moments with the Montano’s took a bottle, flattened it in her kiln, and made a fun cheese tray gift. (I bought a flat bottle at a thrift store awhile back and I love it!)

A Mother and a Daughter made the most adorable owl applique pillowcase dress.

Duuuude. I love the wall-o-colorful-art in Eclectically Vintage‘s new dining room.

Flexible Dreams not only shares how to make these awesome lego head cake pops, but also shares her entire lego themed party!

I know T-day is over, but I just can’t get over how cute these two turkey shirts are:
Artsy Fartsy Mama makes a turkey shirt.

The Scrap Shoppe Blog makes feet print turkey shirts.

GIVEAWAY: Dremel Trio {squeal!} + a Twitter Chat!
* This giveaway is now CLOSED. The winner is comment #31 Kimie W. *
Yes, you read that right. I’ve got another freaking awesome giveaway from Dremel!
But first, I want to invite you to join the Dremel brand for a #DremelDIY Twitter chat this Thursday, December 1 from 6:30-7:30pm CST (that’s Texas time to you, yo!) (If you attend the twitter chat and send out at least one tweet during the chat, you’ll get a bonus entry into this giveaway!)
To join the chat, follow Dremel on Twitter, then search this exact hashtag: “#DremelDIY” (minus the quotation marks) in the search bar. That’s it. You are officially following the twitter chat. To jump in and join in the chat, just make sure to include “#DremelDIY” at the end of all your tweets. Betcha’ didn’t realize it was so easy, did you?!
* Dremel will be randomly giving away a variety of free Dremel Tools during the chat, so make sure to participate for your chance to win a free tool! {woop woop!}

And now, for this months “Tackling America’s To-Do List” video with HGTV star and home Improvement Expert Chip Wade:
Chip shows how easy it is to install shoe (quarter-round) moulding, and offers some great pointers as well.
In this video, Wade uses the Dremel 8200 rotary tool to give a living room a quick face lift before the busy holiday season.
For a plethora (yes, I said plethora!) of Dremel information, visit the Dremel Newsroom.
And now, the moment you’ve all been chomping at the bit for…
GIVEAWAY TIME!!!
Today’s giveaway is for the very cool Dremel Trio!

This tool is about as cool as they come. “The Dremel Trio allows users to cut, sand and rout using one multi-purpose tool. Cut multiple materials including wood, plastic, drywall, sheet metal, wall tile and more without switching tools. The tool’s unique, 360-degree cutting technology and plunge-cut ability allows users to make quick and controlled cuts, while its unique, 90-degree pivoting handle facilitates added control, comfort and accuracy.”
Basically, you can do all of this, plus loads more.

And if those photos alone don’t convince you how awesomespice this tool is, Young House Love just posted about using their Trio in a recent kitchen renovation project (and they aren’t even affiliated with Dremel! They just like their Dremel tools.)
So basically, Dremel rocks. But if you’ve read my blog at all in the past year, you already know I’m a huge fan. I lurve me some Dremel. Yummy.

Here’s how to enter the Giveaway:

For this Living Room Mood Board, I just decided to put together a casual space that I’d love to have in my own home. Nothing fancy or elaborate, just a few pieces that would make for a casual inviting room.

I’m really into earthy tones right now, and I am absolutely head-over-heels for anything made out of seagrass. I’m still trying to figure out a way to bring some seagrass pieces into my own home without breaking my bank! The main focal point is obviously the graphic rug and to tie it in and not make the room feel too busy I’ve added simple lines and neutral pieces.
Here are the pieces I’ve included on the board:

To find out where each item can be purchased, you can visit my olioboard here.
I hope seeing all these mood boards gives you inspiration when shopping for your own home.
The next board up on this hop is Simplified Bee! Click through to check out her post!
