Well hello My Pretties!

It’s time for another freaking fab giveaway from none other than Silhouette!!!

BUT!

Before we get to the giveaway, I have to show you the CUTEST thing I made using my Silhouette for our Disney World Vacation:

Disney_water_bottles_silhouette_10

OMG, cuteness overload, right?! I was so excited when I made them that I actually texted a picture of them to Ben and my sisters. I couldn’t wait to show you guys too!

Disney_water_bottles_silhouette_9

This is why I love my Silhouette. I whipped up these Disney themed water bottles in just a few minutes, yet they look totally fabulous. Anyone can make stuff this cute. You won’t even believe how easy it is!

I found these water bottles at my local grocery store and figured they were the perfect size to lug around Disney World for a week – not too big and heavy when full, but not too tiny either.

Disney_water_bottles_silhouette_2

I measured the area I wanted the vinyl name to go on each bottle, which came out to approximately 4″ wide.

Disney_water_bottles_silhouette_1

To print the vinyl, I typed out the names of each of my family members in the Silhouette Software. Then I just dragged them until they were each approx. 4″ wide. “Ben” was an exception because his name is so short. His ended up being about 3″ wide.

Disney_water_bottles_silhouette_3

I used a free font I downloaded (can’t remember where, sorry!) called “Waltograph42″ so that our names were written in Disney font.

Disney_water_bottles_silhouette_4

Once the letters were cut, it was easy as sticking the vinyl to the bottles.

Disney_water_bottles_silhouette_5

From start to finish I spent maybe a total of 20 minutes on this project.

Disney_water_bottles_silhouette_6

The bottles were a huge hit, and I now have a few family members that want one for themselves!

Having the Disney themed bottles really added to the excitement and magic of the vacation. I love adding little touches like vinyl lettering to usually boring items like water bottles.

A Disney Christmas & some announcements

Gooooooood Morning, VIETNAM!

I’m back, I’m back, I’m back. I feel like I haven’t been online in for-eveh!

Last week we went with Ben’s entire family (18 people total) to…

Disney_2011_3

Walt Disney World!

(Pardon Travis’s hilarious face. He was squinting from the sun. This is the only family photo we took the whole week!)

The trip was such a blast, but oh so tiring! We need a vacation just to recover from the vacation. Not even a horrible stomach bug that had seven people in our party (including myself) puking our guts out kept us from having a great time. Disney really is “The Happiest (and most overpriced) Place on Earth”.

Here are just a few snapshots from our trip:

Disney_2011_2

Disney_2011_1

My favorite of the four parks is Hollywood Studios, but I really enjoy all of them. Buzz and Woody are pretty much two of the best Disney Characters ever created.

Disney_2011_5

Because we went at Christmas time, the Castle at Magic Kingdom was draped in a bazillion lights that changed color and did a full light show. It was spectacular.

Disney_2011_4

We were at Disney World for 8 days and got home on Christmas eve, with just enough time to carry out our family tradition of opening brand new jammies before bed on Christmas eve.

Christmas_2011_1

I started the tradition when Travis was a baby because I wanted him to look cute Christmas morning for all the photos. This is probably one of the kids’ favorite traditions and they talk about it all year. They love getting a gift before bed and having brand new pajamas to wear to bed that night. It totally puts them in the Christmas Spirit.

They were up at the butt-crack of dawn Christmas morning (hence the dark lighting). I’ll spare you loads of pictures of kids opening gifts and paper everywhere, but here’s one of them opening their first gift.

Christmas_2011_2

I started a new tradition this year. I made some Monkey Bread for breakfast after unwrapping all the gifts. I found a recipe on Pillsbury.com, and I just have to say, it is seriously the BEST Monkey Bread I’ve ever tasted! (I’m gluten-free, but I did have a little Monkey Bread as a treat anyway – and I paid for it all day. Ugh. But it was srsly the best recipe ever).

Christmas_2011_3

Here’s the recipe for the Monkey Bread.

The only thing I did differently for the bread is that I used pecans instead of walnuts. I think this type of food is better with pecans, and wow it was yummy.

So anyway, I’m finally back home and for the first time in about 2 weeks I have a moment to actually sit and blog. I’ve got a few announcements for you guys:

1) I have a giveaway going up tomorrow night at midnight (12/29 @ 12:01am), so make sure to come back for a chance to win a brand-new Silhouette Cameo!

2) I will be pinning all my features from my link party last week. I apologize that I haven’t done it yet. I had the link party pre-scheduled and was busy at the Magic Kingdom Thursday evening. ;)

3) If you are new here, HI! I’ve had a lot of new traffic lately, so I want to welcome you to House of Hepworths! Feel free to subscribe to my newsletter at the bottom of this post (the form), or follow me on pinterest, facebook, and twitter!

I’ll see you tomorrow night for the giveaway!

PS Some of my bloggy friends and I have teamed up to create a joint pinterest board! It's really awesome and I think you should come follow it!!

Below you will find several hundred mini links to other people’s blog posts. Have fun browsing through the links in search of new ideas. HookingupwithHoH

Awesome new feature: Any projects I feature each week I will pin on Pinterest for everyone to see! Follow me on Pinterest to get in on the pinning action.

* Please refrain from posting links to shops and stores.

RECIPES/FOOD now has a separate link. Please make sure to link your recipes on the new link at the bottom.

Here are my favorites from last week’s party:

Small Garden Love made some pretty freakin’ fab driftwood votive holders.

The Crunchy Mamacita is killin’ me with this melt-in-your-mouth shortbread. I LOVE shortbread.

Thrifty101 made the most cutie-patootie terra cotta soldier I ever did see.

Tattered & Inked is my new idol. I just love her mantle, and I REALLY LOVE her reindeer silhouette painting.

What’s funner (yes, it’s now a word. Look it up in The New Allison’s Dictionary) than a Christmas Tree in a galvanized bucket? One in a galvanized bucket that’s been stenciled. That’s what. Check it out over at Our Wonderfilled Life.

A Pumpkin and a Princess made these plates of chocolate dipped goodies for her neighbors. Um, why can’t I be her neighbor? Seriously. I want this whole tray. Delish and pretty, to boot!

DIY Newlyweds is brilliant. She took an old worn out sweater and cut it into a pillow. The argyle is killing me. Everyone should know by now I’m a huge sucker for argyle.

Check out the cutest idea ever – an Ice Cream Social in a box! (Curse you Justin Timberlake for RUINING “…in a box” for me. Whenever I hear that… you know where I’m goin’ with this. Just sayin’.) Oh-me-gosh. Dying. I’m dying. It’s seriously the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. Get all the deets over at Michelle Paige.

Kreative Knack is way too talented. Srsly. Fo’ shizzle people. She reupholstered two ugly chairs and made these adorable coordinating (but not matchy-matchy) His and Hers chairs. I nominate her to come finish all 10 of my dining chairs for me. Mmmm-kay?! Done.

I’ve got to try these delicious looking ginger cookies from Design, Dining, + Diapers. She’s my new BFF ’cause she blogs Gluten-Free recipes.

Look at these fun stenciled coasters from That’s What {Che} Said…. I know right?! That’s what she said. I mean, CHE! Che, people. Get your dirty minds out of the Michael Scott gutter.

I know I said that the previous 11 projects were “the cutest thing I’ve ever seen” but I really mean it this time. These Notebook Paper gift tags have got to be the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. Ever. (Well, at least within this 10 second time-frame.) Get cuteness-overload over at Pressed Down, Shaken Together.
