A plethora of marshmallow pop trifecta

How's that for a title? I kill even myself sometimes. Bada-bing! Um... er... uh... {innocent whistling}... Let's just get on with the post, shall we? Before Valentine's Day two weeks ago, K and I made a bunch of Chocolate Covered Strawberries. {tutorial here} During that chocolate making session we also made another fun treat! And let me tell you, these bad boyz are delicious. Marshmallow Pops! Yup. We took a ball of sugar, dipped it into chocolate sugar, then dipped it again into sugar sprinkles. Do you see a trend here? Sugar dipped in sugar dipped … [Read more...]

How to paint around a toilet

Have you ever painted a bathroom? Painting around the toilet is a serious pain in the you-know-what! Here's an easy quick tip that saves loads of time and your sanity. Remove the toilet lid, take a kitchen garbage bag and put it over the entire tank, then tape it in place. Now when you cut in around the toilet you don't have to worry about getting paint all over the tank. When you are done, let the paint dry completely, then rip the bag off and throw it away. Don't you wish all annoying stuff could have such an easy solution? And for your pinning pleasure, here's … [Read more...]

Hookin Up with HoH #88

While you are here partying Thursday morning, I'll be on a plane to Nashville! This weekend is the Blissdom Blog Conference. Should be loads of fun. I'm not sure what I'm more excited about; meeting and rooming with Becky {squeal!}, hanging out with my favorite bloggers, meeting brands and creating partnerships with businesses, or learning more about my favorite hobby in the world - blogging! I've got a post prescheduled for Friday (it's a good one, so stop on by!) and hopefully I'll have a little Blissdom recap next week. ** So, are you new here? I throw the Hookin' Up with HoH … [Read more...]

Cleaning up the Gallbladder Attack in the bathroom

Well hey, hey, hey! I've got the beginnings of a fun new renovation underway here at House of Hepworths. 3M reached out to me and asked if I'd like to try out some of their new ScotchBlue Painter’s Tape with Edge-Lock Paint Line Protector. Being a DIYer I go through lots of painter's tape, so I jumped on this generous offer to try out the new ScotchBlue Painter's tape. The tape couldn't have come at a better time. I've been gearing up to repaint our guest bathroom which is currently affectionately known as "The Gallbladder Bathroom". Why? Well, because it's the color of a g … [Read more...]

Better Bike & Scooter Storage

**UPDATE! If you copy this tutorial DO NOT use MDF. Mine tore off the wall. I updated my wall using a real 1"x6" (x 12') piece off wood (whiteboard, I believe). It has been PERFECT. I will officially update with a new tutorial asap, but for now, please only use REAL wood.** If you have kids and are like me, your garage is probably overrun with bikes and scooters. I'm glad my kids have these fun toys to play with (and help keep them healthy by going outside and exercising), but wow, having bikes and scooters all over the garage drives me bonkers! The scooters refuse to stay … [Read more...]

A weird collection and how I display it (blog business cards)

Do you collect anything? When I was a kid I collected coffee mugs. Don't ask. I have no idea why. I had like 50 of them by the time I was 12. {eye roll} As a teenager I collected black and white Calvin Klein Ads and taped them in a grid on my bedroom wall. Most had Kate Moss in them, who I thought was the greatest model on planet earth. Again, don't ask. I was one of those weird artsy-fartsy types in high school. After I got married I collected magnets from any place I vacationed or visited. It sounded like a great idea at the time until I was totally overrun with random … [Read more...]
