We love our Beddy’s bedding

Over the past few weeks I've shown you guys my son's and daughter's bedrooms. They both are sporting some new super cute bedding. I promised to give you more details about the bedding, so today I'm doing just that! Both of these bedding sets are called Beddy's Before I get too deep into this post, I want to be very clear... BHG Dining Room Table Review (it’s not great)

Okay, so let's talk about this table. I'm not going to beat around the bush here, the table is from Wal-Mart. Yes, Wal-Mart. I know, I can't believe it either. It does have one redeeming quality though - it's a Better Homes and Gardens brand, called Providence, which makes it a tiny bit more legit I suppose. I originally bought this table for the kitchen but it was too big (should have measured!) so it became the dining table by default. We needed furniture for the entire house and had only a couple days to buy it all. We headed to IKEA for almost everything, but I didn't want … [Read more...]

The skinny on all our new kitchen appliances – Bosch, GE, LG, Hahn, Danze

Today I want to talk about what appliances we purchased, why we chose them specifically, and now, seven months later, how they are holding up. 1/2/3/4/5/6 Here is our newly renovated kitchen. Check out all the before and after pictures!    While selecting our appliances, we kept quality and price in mind. We wanted great quality products in the mid-range price. There are some amazing appliances out there if you go high-end enough, but we didn't want to spend multi-thousands of dollars on one appliance. There are also some very inexpensive products out there that had … [Read more...]

I have also been compensated for the materials needed for my DIY project. However, my opinions are entirely my own and I have not been paid to publish positive comments.) My daughter LOVES to draw and is very crafty. We have artwork all over our fridge and taped to the walls. I made her a magnetic frame for her to display all her artwork, photos, notes, and cards. It looks a lot classier on a magnetic frame instead … [Read more...]

How to lay a paver walkway

(I was one of the bloggers selected by True Value to work on the DIY Squad. I have been compensated for my time commitment to the program as well as writing about my experience. I have also been compensated for the materials needed for my DIY project. However, my opinions are entirely my own and I have not been paid to publish positive comments.) I just completed a project in our backyard that I've wanted to do since we moved in over a year ago. To get from the deck to the water hose requires walking through dirt and mud. We've wanted some type of pathway or stepping stones to keep our … [Read more...]
