Hookin Up with HoH #73

Hey guys! Sorry I’m posting the party so late tonight. I chose to play a few rounds of Dominion with the hubbs and boy instead of doing my bloggy homework – aka the Link Party. We are just a little obsessed with this game lately.

So, are you new here? I throw the Hookin’ Up with HoH Party every week to give all of you a chance to find other awesome blogs to read. Below you will find several hundred mini links to other people’s blog posts. Have fun browsing through the links in search of new ideas. Also, if you are a blogger, please feel free to add your own links to the list!

HookingupwithHoH

Awesome new feature: Any projects I feature each week I will pin on Pinterest for everyone to see! Follow me on Pinterest to get in on the pinning action.

* Please refrain from posting links to shops and stores.

RECIPES/FOOD now has a separate link. Please make sure to link your recipes on the new link at the bottom.

The Creative Imperative is redoing her sons room (which I’m totally head-over-heels for so far) and used the coolest thing ever for curtains. Are you ready for it?… The curtains are made from a picnic tarp. And I LOVE them. Check out how she did it!

The Rooster and the Hen made a mirror from pallet wood and it is lookin’ mighty fine above her fireplace. You would never believe the mirror wasn’t even rectangle to start out with.

The 36th Avenue has the BEST blog post about understanding color for better decorating. If you are scared to decorate with color, check out her post! It will rock your socks off.

A Grace Full Life made a mossy dollar store mirror using only dollar store materials. Bonus points for being so creative at the dollar store.

Create cheap awesome phone covers using this simple trick from How to Nest for Less.

Ikea has these round cork trivets that I really want to buy every.time.I.go.there. But I can’t ever think of what to do with them. Sew Much Sunshine covered them in pretty fabric for unique good lookin’ tack boards.

Make adorable DIY Apothecary Jars with Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious’s tutorial. Aren’t they so fun?! And they would look great it tons of different colors!

The REAL Housewives of Riverton shows off her pretty baby girl nursery. I’m not usually a sucker for baby stuff since I’m past that phase of my life, but this room makes my uterus ache. Who wouldn’t want a baby girl to put in here?!

Make pretty Ric Rac Roses over at Shirley’s Craft Blog. I would have never guessed ric rac would make such pretty flowers.

The Mulberry Tree painted a striped room in her house and it is lookin’ pretty dang chic.

Design Build Love fancied up her vanity mirror with this great tiled mirror project. Click through to see how she did it.

Like, omg. My son AND husband would both go coo-coo for cocoa puffs over this awesome Angry Birds Can Toss Game by Homemade Beauties By Heidi. I just have to make this for my son for his birthday in January.

Check out these super yummy looking chocolate covered pretzels with sprinkles! by A Pumpkin and a Princess. My stomach growls just seeing these yummy treats.

Hi – thanks so much for hosting. It’s so unfortunate how your very unique ideas were taken advantage of – I know how excited when I think of something that I haven’t seen before, and I would be flaming mad if someone stole it! Like you said, a lot of work goes into taking pictures, writing a post, linking sources, etc…(not to mention the all the other stuff we aren’t doing so we can blog) I don’t understand why people think it’s free for the taking! Thanks for the great tip on how to protect ourselves…but I’m really sorry that something like this had to happen to you. Hope you’re having a great week!

Thanks for hosting. You’re welcome to link to my Pinterest Favorites each week, too. It can be something you’ve made or one you want to try. I love the baby girl nursery you have featured. My “to do” next project is paper lanterns covered with fabric flowers for my daughter’s room.

! We LOVE Dominion here too!!! It’s SO much fun. It’s interesting b/c my hubby and I have totally different playing strategies- he weeds through his deck and ends up making it so he can use almost his whole deck every turn, and I like to make my deck nice and fat- the more the merrier! It’s so fun. We haven’t played in awhile- I think I’m seeing a Dominion night in our future!!

I never thought to keep your deck small. That is an interesting strategy. My strategy (or lack thereof) sucks. I hardly ever win, but it’s still fun.

Anyways- I love your blog, I think you’re adorable, and I hope you don’t think I’m a complete stalker. I wish that you lived by me. I have no friends that share my enthusiasm for creating~
I used your “When I start being sad, I start being AWESOME” with my son this AM while he was trying to figure out how to tie his shoes- I think I’m going to have to make one for myself!!
