Round 3: Readers create wreaths & pumpkins

I'm seriously in awe that I was able to inspire so many amazing people to create their own wreaths and pumpkins! Here are more crafts done by my readers. More wreaths! This Fresh Fossil's wreath. The best of September 2010

Let's wrap up September, shall we? (Click on each picture to see the original post.) I started off the month by showing off my new clearance pillows and my semi-finished family room! I embarrassed myself by posting an outtake video from my Sponsor Redi Shade. And then gave you a tip on how to make your morning school routine run more smoothly. Then I gave a tutorial on how to create a cheap (but not … [Read more...]

Reader Submission – Fall $ store wreath

Last week I showed you how to make a Fall Wreath using dollar store items. Ring a bell? Karin, an HoH reader, had this to say! "Thank you so much for the great idea! I read this post last night at 7p and asked my husband to take me to the DT! So at 9p I was gluing leaves to the wreath and it came out great! We're going back later today to buy more supplies to give these as fall hostess gifts. Thank you again for sharing, my home will look great for fall!!" Awesome! Karin also sent me some photos of her wreath she made using my tutorial! Suh-weet! Awesome … [Read more...]

They’re not just bloggers. They are my friends.

I love blogging. I love being able to share my ideas with others and enjoy moments of narcissism (because let's face it, bloggers like to talk about themselves). There's one upside to blogging that I didn't even realize when I first started. There are lots of great reasons to blog, but the one very nice surprise are all the friends I've made along the way. I have met some of the most amazing ladies since I started blogging. And even though I haven't met many of them in real life, I've formed genuine friendships with each of them. One friend that I've made is Nikki from Kreative … [Read more...]

Yes, I am crazy. I promise this.is.my.last. decor ball post. Maybe. I want to show you how to make a variety of decor balls. These are very popular right now - who doesn't love a basket of decor balls? Here's a tutorial on how to make pretty much any type of decor ball you could ever want. First, load up on your "gear". You need a basic ball to start with. For … [Read more...]
