This new streamlined machine cuts a whopping 12 inches wide!!! Squeal-to-the-double-eeeeeelll! “This new electronic cutting tool features optical alignment, a stronger, quieter cutting motor and a true 12″ cutting width.”

Silhouette is the best and sent me the brand new Cameo and a Heat Transfer Starter Kit to test out. (Plus, they love you guys too and want to give one of you one as well, but I’ll get to that part in a minute.)

I got my new machine out and all set up (at night hence the darker quality photo – sorry!)…

…and I swear, my daughter can sense an iron-on from a mile away. Before I knew it she was pushing a t-shirt on me and crawling into my lap where she would sit for the next 30 minutes Oooh-ing and Aaahhh-ing over all the adorable images to download at the Silhouette Store. She finally chose to make one large purse with a flower in the middle.

We easily cut out each piece of the purse (the Silhouette makes it so easy to select which pieces to cut) and readied ourselves for assembly.

The ironing was such a snap. You just start with the first layer and iron it onto your fabric. When it's ready, peel of the clear plastic backing. Then iron on the 2nd layer. Repeat until all your layers are finished!

That’s all there is to it! Besides the time it took Kinsey to hem and haw over which design to choose, it took us about 20 minutes or so to cut all 4 pieces and iron them on. I still can’t get over how easy this machine is to use.

Kinsey was so excited about her new shirt (that she totally designed herself! – she chose the colors, the image, and what shirt to put it on) that she just had to wear it to school today.

This child is so opinionated as well as so into shopping and fashion that it terrifies me. :)
