Packing

DSCN1529

…and packing…

DSCN1528

…and more packing…

DSCN1530

…and stacking and organizing…

DSCN1532

…and way too many half-packed boxes piled up.

We are getting ready to leave sunny California…

…and are headed to hot Texas!

DSCF8199.JPG

In two weeks we’ll be loading up the U-haul trailer and taking the two day drive from Los Angeles to Dallas.

From there we’ll pick up the rest of our stuff and move it all to Austin.

Hopefully the house we’ve put an offer on will work out and we can move in quickly.

We might be homeless for awhile this summer. I hope my blog can survive considering I wont be able to craft while I have no place to call home.

Fingers crossed that the Short-Sale will go through. It’s already been 5 weeks. I hope the bank lets us know soon otherwise it’s going to be a very looooong summer.

Better get back to the packing…

You’re so brave to move without a place to land! My fingers are crossed for you that the short-sale comes through!

Good luck with the move! I can totally sympathize with the packing (I hate it so much we’ve decided to never move again…hopefully)

Welcome to Texas!! The Texas Hill Country is the best place in Texas. Yes it is hot! A great spot to cool off is the Guadalupe River, the kids will love it.

Oh dear! I must say I don’t envy you right now! Packing and moving…yeow!! Both very stressful! And still not knowing about the house…oh my! Sending you good thoughts and prayers right now.
And your blog will survive just fine! You will be up and crafting in no time.
Just hearing of your moving adventures is exciting and I can’t wait to see all your stuff in your new home!

Could you be moving to a more different state from California? LOL! As for the packing, at one point I took a can of paint and painted a large dot on it,. I just painted it with the color of the room that it WAS in. Dumb, but it worked. Then I gathered all of the paint and made sure that it was labeled clearly what room it went in so that the next owner wouldn’t have any problems identifying. Then again, I may be a little OCD…

When you get to Austin – make sure you go to my fave thriftstore – Thriftland! (not to be confused with thriftown which is just a few blocks away from it).

You will be right down the road from me once you move to Austin. There is a GW “bluehanger” in Austin,if you aren’t familiar with the clearance center GW, let me know and I will fill you in.

If you need a place to stay – you can come up to our farm for awhile. Of course, I am not really sure if we will be okay with those longhorn shirts but we could probably work something out! 😆 Stopping in to say Hi while we are at TX A&M this week.

Where are you headed to when you get to Austin?
I live out here and know no one so maybe we could get together sometime.
Have a safe trip and good luck packing!
