updating a topiary for a dollar

Exhibit A:

DSCN5027

Apple topiary. Cute from the waist up, but not so cute pot.

It’s all glued together though. What to do?

Exhibit B:

DSCN5026

99 cent planter from IKEA.

I put the old pot inside the new one. It fit perfectly and now my apple topiary is cute from head to toe.

No cutting, no gluing, no disassembling.

I love cheap easy fixes.

    Very cute fix!

Um just an fyi – I don’t know if you got a new sponsor or something, but I just got one of those INCREDIBLY annoying pop-up video (with sound) ads on your blog. I’m not a fan! Not that I’m going to instantly drop you for an add, but a different format would be nicer!

@Laree, Yikes! Yes, I was {finally} accepted into an ad network and I just figured out how to add the code last night. It was super confusing and I thought I selected NO POP-UPS, SOUND, ETC but I think I selected all that junk after I put the code on my site, so it didn’t update it. I’ve fixed it so it should NOT do that again. If it does, would you please be a dear and let me know? I’d really hate hate hate my readers to have to go through that crappy stuff. I get ticked when I get popups and sound, so I’m sure you all do to! I do not want House of Hepworths to become one of *those* sites!

So anyway, thank you so very much for letting me know. I’ve {hopefully} fixed it.

Hi A. It’s not fixed. A pretty big pop-up just came up and covered most of your blog page. It was for some vacation place. Super annoying.

No pop up here. I even went back in again to double check.

Did you make the apple topiary? They look so real! At first I was thinking..you got that many apples for a dollar? lol

Anyways, I love when a small change makes a huge difference.

    thanks for sharing, Katharine
