Hookin Up with HoH #117

Sorry the post is getting up so late tonight. My son decided to have a teary heartfelt bedtime confessional about a friend bullying him at school. Poor kid. I will always be there for my kids, so unfortch the party goes up late tonight. Crisis adverted though. I talked him off the ledge and he’s feeling good about himself again. Why is life so hard at 10?

** So, are you new here? I throw the Hookin’ Up with HoH Party every week to give all of you a chance to find other awesome blogs to read. Below you will find several hundred mini links to other people’s blog posts. Have fun browsing through the links in search of new ideas. Also, if you are a blogger, please feel free to add your own links to the list!

Hi Allison! I HATE BULLIES!!! I used to get bullied when I was in elementary school by girls that were two grades older than me. At that age, that’s a lot and it was very intimidating. I feel for your son. 🙁

    Allison-

I am so sorry about the bullying! I am definitely feeling your pain. My daughter is 9 and we have been getting that from a boy at school this year. I am blessed that our school is taking it so seriously and concerned about her. But dealing with it all is exhausting! I’m so glad your son is willing to talk to you about it though.

  10. Weight Watcher Wednesday – Skinny Potato Soup | Pam's Best Laid Plans says:

[…] This Skinny Potato Soup does not taste skinny at all. It is creamy and delicious, just like you want potato soup to taste. You can always load it up with low-fat cheese, bacon and onion to make it a loaded potato soup but I find that I enjoy it without the extras. Skinny Potato Soup1 bag Ore-Ida frozen hash brown potatoes, cubed4 cans or 8 cups of fat-free chicken brothPour broth in to a large pot. Add potatoes and bring to a gentle boil. Reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes.Add:1 package envelope Pioneer fat-free country white gravy mix (this is what makes it creamy without adding all the heavy cream that is normally in potato soup)1/2 cup waterIn a small bowl, blend water and gravy mix. Add gravy mixture to potatoes. Simmer an additional 20 minutes.Serving size is 1 1/2 cups and equals 2 points. This soup is a generous serving and very filling and delicious. I have served this to many people and everyone is astounded that it is fat-free. Enjoy!Do you have a favorite low-cal, low-fat recipe? If so, I would love for you to leave me your link in the comments section! sharing:http://www.the36thavenue.com/2012/09/halloween-free-witch-printable-decor.htmlhttp://www.impartinggrace.com/2012/09/grace-at-home-no-27.htmlhttps://www.houseofhepworths.com/2012/09/19/hookin-up-with-hoh-117/http://delightfulorder.blogspot.com/2012/09/delightfully-inspiring-thursday-party_19.htmlhttp://www.52mantels.com/2012/09/thursdays-are-your-days-creative.htmlhttp://thebrambleberrycottage.blogspot.com/2012/09/time-travel-thursday-115-talented-time.htmlhttp://www.katiesnestingspot.com/2012/09/a-crafty-soiree-108-with-sur-la-table.htmlhttp://www.thecraftyblogstalker.com/2012/09/blog-stalking-thursday-59.htmlhttp://www.happyhourprojects.com/2012/09/happy-hour-friday-0921.htmlhttp://www.littlebeckyhomecky.com/2012/09/fantabulous-friday-31/http://www.craftionary.net/2012/09/friday-fun-party-and-features-209.htmlhttp://www.thirtyhandmadedays.com/2012/09/linky_party_106/http://www.blessedwithgrace.net/2012/09/tempt-my-tummy-with-oatmeal-scotchies/ […]
