Tick Tock, on the clock…

Tick tock, on the clock, but the party don’t stop no!

DSCN9389
Got this at Goodwill…

Blah Blah Blah 😉

DSCN9390
Broken and scratched, but when has that ever stopped me?

DSCN9392
I took it apart (this was a stubborn little bugger to get separated!)

So, two things: I don’t like the color and the battery arm box is broken.

First order of business, PAINT.

DSCN9399
The base is metal so it got a coat of flat black spray paint.

DSCN9397
But the top part is plastic so I gave it a coat of black spray paint for plastic.

The arms are so tiny, so to paint them I cut a slice of floral foam…

DSCN9395DSCN9398
…and stuck the arms in it using tooth picks. Then I spray painted them as well in flat black.

Once it was all dry, I gave it a light coating of Oil Rubbed Bronze spray paint.

DSCN9412

I can tell it’s going to be hawt when it finished. I lurve black spray paint!

So now about the arm battery box… IKEA pulls through again.

DSCN9835DSCN9839
I had this clock sitting around so I just took it apart and recycled the battery box. Not sure what to do with the rest of it now….

I cleaned off the glass really well and put it back in the clock.

DSCN9895

And then I put the whole thing back together.

DSCN9922

I’m totally diggin’ it.

DSCN9926

And total it was $3.99. Not bad.

DSCN9932

My lighting in this apartment is terrible. Absolutely horrible. I took two pictures – blinds closed and blinds open. Neither turned out great.

DSCN9945

But you get the idea. I hung it in between both porch doors.

Before & After:

DSCN9389DSCN9926

Once again Goodwill pulls through for me.

Don’t stop, make it pop. DJ, blow my speakers up. Tonight, I’mma fight ’til we see the sunlight. Tik tok on the clock, but the party don’t stop no!

It’s so funny that you posted this because I saw the same clock at Salvation Army on Weds and I planned to buy it and clean it up. Then I got sidetracked and forgot to grab it before I checked out! Now I can see what I great deal I missed!
